The Road to 3 Stars ★★★ Clan War Attack

So much about having the best base layout for Anti-Air like Lavaloonions attack, Anti-Giant + Healer combo, Anti-GoWiPe, GoWiWi, Anti-Hogs, etc. And for all we know, there is no such thing as Anti- 3star base design or say Anti- for all kinds of troops in any Town Hall level for that matter.
Why not talk about sharing how to strike back? How to retaliate? How to successfully get 3 stars on every attack you make? How to effectively use your spells (normal spells & dark spells)? and When will you need them?

You might have had attacks from previous wars wherein you failed to take down the enemy base assigned to you. However, someone from your clan who happened to be positioned way lower than you because his/her base has weaker defense and not so strong troops upgraded yet he/she managed to perfectly get 3 stars just by using a set of troops you didn't think would work.

The very essence of every successful Clan War attack or even Multiplayer battle is all about where and how to deploy your troops. Therefore, it is all about positioning or as most players say, funneling. Because every base layout or design whether for Farming, Hybrid, Trophy, or for War have their own weak spots enabling the best attack strategy to annihilate the defending base to a 100% and thus getting 3 stars.

One thing we all need to remember when joining clan wars is to never rely on your defenses alone. And that is why we all have to carefully plan out attacks on battle day, never attack while distracted, never attack whenever internet signal bars showing in-game (although there are still inevitable disconnections but that's fine), never attack whenever you're in a hurry, and finally when you're in doubt, consider checking other bases that you think you can surely get 3 stars or at least 2.

So Keep Calm and Clash On!

UNLEASH THE BEASTS!

TownHall 7 Dragon Attack Strategy

The most famous Clan War attack strategy at TownHall 7 is the "Dragon attack". Of course, you need to have four level 6 Army Camps at TownHall 7 so you’d get to train 10 Dragons for you to use on Clan Wars or even just for Multiplayer battles.
The important part whenever you initiate a full dragon attack is that you always have to create a "Cut". A cut means to create the most effective gap by deploying two dragons to destroy one building from the left and the other one to the right (most effective to destroy are Army Camps because they create bigger gaps from other buildings) to the defender's base so that your dragons won't scatter.
Here's how to create a "Cut"

Therefore, a successful attack also depends on "strategic manipulation" by countering the default pattern of which where your troops will go to from after deployment. The easiest way to say this is that "you have to lead your troops to where you want them to clean up buildings" and the only way to do that is by getting things right at the very first few seconds of your attack.

I will share to you "3 Major Strategies" how to clash using dragons. These strategies that you are about to learn doesn't even require any reinforcement troops just to get 3 Stars ★★★. But of course with the help of reinforcement troops, your attacks are more likely to succeed. It also goes without saying that you have your spells ready (especially Lightning Spells) as these are also very useful to every attack.

Note! You might notice that I'm using Level 3 Dragons which is not available in TownHall 7. But fear not! because these attack strategies are effective even if your Dragons are at Level 1.

Lane Wipe - This attack strategy is most effective when you encounter a square-shaped or rectangular base layout. Even though this attack strategy is just a basic form of deploying troops, this attack still requires planning. You have to consider at least three things. First, make sure that the lane you choose is the exact opposite to where the defender's Air Sweeper is facing. Second, you have to make sure that the lane you choose is where the nearest Air Defense is located (therefore you have to take down the farthest Air Defense(AD) by at least three Lv.3 Lightning spells). Lastly, you have to make sure that the lane you choose doesn't lure out the defender's clan castle troops and the Barbarian King simultaneously or else it will take too much time killing them while the defender's Air Defenses will clean up your dragons completely before you even get to take down the Town Hall or even at least 50% of their base. So if possible, make sure to choose the lane or side where you get to deal with the enemy's clan castle troops first.
As you can see from this attack, I avoided the lane where the Air Sweeper is facing. Then we deploy our troops to the left lane of the base where the targeted Air Defense is located. And finally, making sure that only either enemy's Clan Castle troops are lured or the Barbarian King (In this attack, the King is located at the opposite side making sure that we get to kill the CC troops first).

Dispersion -  This attack strategy is a bit similar to Lane Wipe since it is the most basic attack after all. However, this is an attack strategy wherein you need to select the best angle to devour the enemy's base by deploying your dragons to a corner like an L shape. Dispersion attack is most effective whenever you encounter a base that has 3 Air Defenses (TH8) wherein 2 of which is placed with an Air Sweeper in the middle and you have to make sure that you avoid dropping your dragons in front of this Air Sweeper or else air strike will be swept totally.

7/3 Penetration Last but definitely not the least because this attack strategy is my favorite. I named it 7/3 Penetration because my IGN: Incursio means "Penetration". Anyways, this strategy requires patience. For me, this is the most effective attack strategy using dragons to any base layouts whether it's a TownHall 7 or TownHall 8 (but of course, the higher the level of enemy's Air Defenses the higher the level of your Dragon is also needed). Now, this attack works effectively of course by always creating the "cut". Patiently wait until the targeted buildings of the first 2 dragons are destroyed before you drop the next 5 dragons in the middle. Once all seven dragons have already advanced quite a bit, keep an eye for the opening. You need to make sure that before you drop off the last 3 dragons, both sides of the enemy's base are already wiped out. And when you drop the last 3 dragons, the penetration begins. You have to drop them right from where you dropped the 5 dragons earlier so that they will go straight directly to the middle of the enemy's base (assuming that this base had his TownHall placed in the center of the map) making sure that there will be enough dragons for you to destroy the TownHall.
